Attention must be paid when installation the air spring
In designs using air springs, care must be taken to ensure that no sharp edges will come into contact with the resilient element air springs. This has to verify that maximum expansion and zero pressure operation, especially for blade and sleeve rolled leaf springs, is a reduction in the surface pressure drop in the gap between the meniscus and the piston support. The spatial envelope outside the air spring must clear the largest air spring two inches in diameter to allow normal growth and deformity deviations.
The structure of the industrial air spring element:
screw bolt / Stud - Produced as a permanent part of the Cover Plate assembly for maximum strength and durability. It is used to attach the air spring to the vehicle's suspension system.
Combined link rod / Combo Stud - Used as the dual purpose of installing the air spring to the suspension system and providing the air inflation.
Nut / Blind Nut - As well a permanent part of the Cover Plate assembly. Provides an alternative to bolt installation system. It is inside defect within the iron plate
Gas Hole / Air inlet / Air Fitting - Most usually 1/4 N.P.T. which provides the air entrance to the rubber bellows.
Cover Plate - Curled up to more durable bellows design and the largest quality control in the factory. Allows 100% of the leak test before shipment.
Rubber Bellows - Air Bellows includes four layers of materials: an inner layer, two layer cord - reinforced fabrics, and a cover. Construction of a natural rubber provides - 65F functional properties.
Bumper block / Buffer block - Solid rubber or engineering plastic device designed to prevent major damage to the vehicle or suspension in the event of a sudden loss of air pressure in the spring.
Bottom Piston - Provides a low installation of air spring. To control the pressure in a changing under the load characteristics of spring.
