About Air Spring Actuator
According to the structure of the air bag, the air spring can be divided into three types: bag type, membrane type and composite type.
Bladder air spring
The bladder-type air spring consists of a rubber bladder with cords and compressed air enclosed in it. The inner layer of the airbag is made of air-tight rubber, while the outer layer is made of oil-resistant rubber. Airbags are generally made of two convolutions, but there are also single convolution or three or four convolutions. The more the number of convolutions, the better the elasticity. There is a steel waist ring/belt loop/ girdle hoop between the convolutions, so that the middle part will not expand radially and prevent the two sections from rubbing against each other. The upper and lower covers of the airbag seal the airbag.
Membrane Air Spring
The airtight air bag of the membrane air spring is composed of a rubber diaphragm and a metal pressing part. Compared with the bladder type, its elastic characteristic curve is ideal, because its stiffness is smaller than that of the bladder type, and the natural vibration frequency of the body is lower; and the size is smaller, which is easy to arrange on the car, so it is mostly used in cars.
Composite air spring
From a structural point of view, the composite air spring is a type between the capsule type and the membrane type. It combines the advantages of the above two types of air springs and has a lower spring stiffness, but the manufacturing process is complicated.
