Air spring structure
The air spring is a non-metallic spring that fills a flexible rubber bladder with air with a certain pressure and uses the compressibility of the air to achieve elastic effects. Air springs are mainly divided into two types: capsule air springs and membrane air springs.
In today's mechanical design process, air springs have long been treated as standard parts like gears, and the corresponding air springs can be selected according to the weight of the load and the geometric installation size.
Characteristics of air spring
(1) The elastic coefficient of the air spring is variable, and as the applied load increases, the elastic coefficient also increases. The air spring can design various effect curves to meet various performance requirements because the air spring has a nonlinear effect.
(2) The rubber body of the air spring is relatively light, and the mass of the air is also very small. Most of the weight of the air spring comes from the upper cover and the lower cover. Unlike the steel spring, the metal mass is relatively heavy.
(3) The bearing capacity of the air spring can be adjusted according to the inflation pressure in the rubber airbag. For the same air spring, different bearing capacity requirements can be met by adjusting the inflation pressure.
(4) Since the air spring uses air as the elastic medium, when compressed, the internal friction is small, so the vibration isolation effect is relatively good. In addition, air springs have a good ability to cancel noise because air and rubber are relatively weak in transmitting sound.
